We are a technology company who specialise in software for mobile phones that enable viewing of live webcams. We are based in Derry, Northern Ireland.
Our aim is to make it easy to broadcast a webcam, and to allow users to view a webcam using a mobile phone. Towards this purpose over the last few years we have streamlined our software, and created content that provide guidance for beginner webcam users.
Content such as our help pages, forum, and our blog.
Our company’s second goal is to encourage the use of mobile phone technolgy in the webcam experience. To this end we have created and developed our own techniques and products that allow you to view your camera and cameras around the world on your mobile phone.
Looking to get started?
If you want to set up home monitoring using a USB webcam the best place to start is with EyeSpyFX Webcam. This software is free & easy to use, and will have you broadcasting your camera over the internet in minutes.
EyeSpyFX Webcam includes number of interactive features such as:-
View via mobile.
For those of you wanting to use your mobile phone in the webcam experience. There are two options available to you.
to see a Live Stream from your webcam.
to view still images via WAP.
Phone StreamFX is the best way to view live stream EyeSpyFX cams but EyeSpyFX cams are also available via WAP showing single images that can be manually refreshed.
There is a handy emulator on the dot mobi site. Here is a link:
On the same page Dot mobi point out the following:
Researchers at IDC say that 1.3 billion people will connect to the Internet via mobile phones by 2008. To see your site the same way that millions of mobile phone users do, use the .mobi mobile Emulator, which “emulates” a real mobile phone Internet browser.
After setting up our Lamp Cam it occured to us that there must be other webcams out there that offer the same sort of interactive experience.
So after searching the internet heres a few of the websites we came across.
3. Drive Me Insane
Drive Me Insane is very similar to our Lamp Cam.
The owner has a number of lamps and lights set up around a room,
which you can switch on and off from the page.
I think the idea is that you can drive the owner insane,
but I have yet to see him/her in the room.
4. Control Our Junk
Control Our Junk has a number of internet controlled toys
that you can play with from the control page.
It takes a few minutes to work out all the controls,
and the interface could be better.
But once you get the hang of it, its quite fun.
Enjoy the cameras, and stay tuned for more.
So there is no Google phone as such…but instead this OS…and a competition to develop apps for it.
We’ve created a how-to video tutorial for the RemoteControlEye application.
[kml_flashembed movie=”http://www.eyespyfx.com/images/rceye_tutorial2.swf” height=”318″ width=”400″ /]
It will briefly guide you through setup. Then take a look at the various RemoteControlEye features and functions. Ending with a run through of using RemoteControlEye with messenger.
Flash Run-through loading too slow for you.
Watch the lower quality YouTube video.
You can get the RemoteControlEye application at:-
